Overview of hazards

Hazard category: type 3.3 flammable liquids with high flash point.

Route of invasion: inhalation, ingestion, percutaneous absorption.

Health hazards: inhalation, intake or absorption through the skin is harmful to the body, irritant to the eyes, and may irritate the skin. Poisoning is characterized by headache, nausea and vomiting. Chronic effect: experiments show that it has mutagenic effect.

First aid measures

Skin contact: remove contaminated clothes and rinse with running water.

Eye contact: lift the eye face immediately and rinse with flowing water.

Inhalation: quickly leave the scene to the fresh air. Keep the airway unobstructed. Give artificial respiration if necessary. See a doctor.

Ingestion:. Those who mistakenly accept it drink a lot of warm water, induce vomiting and seek medical treatment.

Fire protection measures

Hazard characteristics: in case of open fire, high heat or contact with oxidizer, there is a risk of combustion and explosion. In case of high heat, the internal pressure of the container increases, and there is a risk of cracking and explosion.

Fire extinguishing methods: foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder, sand. It is ineffective to put out a fire with water.

Emergency treatment of leakage

Evacuate people from leaking contaminated areas to safe areas, prohibit unrelated personnel from entering contaminated areas, and cut off the source of fire. Emergency personnel are advised to wear gas masks and general fire protection clothing. Plug the leak while ensuring safety. Water spray reduces evaporation, but does not reduce the flammability of leaks in restricted spaces. It is absorbed with activated carbon or other inert materials, then collected and transported to waste treatment sites for disposal. If there are a large number of leaks, they will be taken in by the embankment, and then collected, transferred, recycled or harmlessly disposed.

Disposal and storage

Store in a cool, ventilated room. Stay away from spark and heat source. Keep out direct sunlight. Packing is required to be sealed and should not be in contact with air. Should be stored separately from the oxidizer. The lighting, ventilation and other facilities in the storage room shall be explosion-proof, and the switch shall be located outside the warehouse. Equipped with the corresponding variety and quantity of fire fighting equipment. Fire-proof and explosion-proof technical measures should be taken during tank storage. The use of mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to sparks is prohibited. The flow rate of filling should be controlled and attention should be paid to prevent the accumulation of static electricity. When handling, you should load and unload lightly to prevent damage to the packaging and containers.

Individual protection

Engineering control: airtight operation, local exhaust.

Respiratory protection: you should wear a gas mask when you may come into contact with its vapor. Wear a self-contained respirator in a high concentration environment.

Eye protection: generally do not need special protection, high concentration contact can wear chemical safety glasses.

Physical protection: wear appropriate protective clothing.

Hand protection: wear protective gloves.
